Bred by Pierre Rousseau (France, 1862).
Introduced in Australia by George Brunning - St. Kilda Nurseries in 1873 as 'Sénateur Favre'.
Class:
Hybrid Perpetual.  
Bloom:
Vermilion, darker shading.  Large, double (17-25 petals) bloom form.
