Centifolia, Hybrid Perpetual.  Purple to violet.  Strong fragrance.  Very full (41+ petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, flat bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  USDA zone 4b through 9b.  Height of 6' to 8' 2" (185 to 250 cm).  Width of 4' to 5' (120 to 150 cm). Soupert & Notting (1857).
