Bred by François Delaunay (France, 1934).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1939 as 'Ville d'Angers'.

Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Cherry-red.  Red currant-red.  Moderate fragrance.  Large, semi-double to double, cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Large, long, pointed buds.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, bushy, well-branched.  Dark green, leathery foliage.  

Height: up to 2' (up to 60cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
