Bred by Pierre-Hubert Portemer père (France, 1850).
Introduced in Australia by John J. Rule, Victoria Nursery in 1860 as 'William Griffith'.

Hybrid Perpetual.  
Bloom:
Light pink, lilac shading.  Flowers glossy pink, changing to light satin-rose.  Strong fragrance.  Large, full (26-40 petals), cupped, globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
