Origin:
Introduced in United Kingdom by Fisk's Clematis Nursery in 1983 as 'W.S. Callick'.
Class:
Early Large Flowered.  
Bloom:
Red.  6 to 8 petals.  Average diameter 8".  Single, curved edge, grooved, overlapping bloom form.  Late spring to early summer, late summer, mid-to-late summer.  
Habit:

Height: 8' to 10' (245 to 305cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 4b through 9b.  Plant in sun or partial shade.  It blooms on the previous year's growth, so resist the urge to prune it in early spring.  In early spring, cut back to just above the lowest set of healthy buds.
