Origin:
Bred by Barry Fretwell (United Kingdom, circa 1990).
Introduced in United Kingdom by Peveril Clematis Nursery in circa 1992 as 'C. 'Caroline''.
Class:
Group 3, Large-flowered, Late.  
Bloom:
Light pink, pink undertones.  6 petals.  Average diameter 5".  Medium, single bloom form.  Early summer to early autumn.  
Habit:

Height: 6' to 8' (185 to 245cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 4b through 9b.  Plant in partial shade to prevent fading of bloom color.  Suitable for growing in a container.  This plant blooms on the current season's growth.  In early spring, cut back to just above the lowest set of healthy buds.
