Introduced in United Kingdom by Lady Amherst in 1831 as 'C. odorata Wall.'.

Early Small Flowered, Group 1, Montana Group.  
Bloom:
White.  Strong fragrance.  4 petals.  Average diameter 1.5".  Single, clusters bloom form.  Late spring to early summer, summer.  
Habit:
Height of up to 26' (up to 790 cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 7b through 9b.  Plant in soil that drains well.  Plant in sun or partial shade.  No pruning required.
