I don't own this rose but plan on getting it. I can see it next to my Knock-out. A FIESTA OF COLOR! :)

p.s. Just noticed that someone in the photos already thought of this combo. Great minds think...

Here in the Silicon Valley, PlayBoy out on a fantastic show well past Thanksgiving! The colors are even more beautiful than these photos suggest! A good friend of mine has it in a 36" tree and it truly is the highlight of their garden. Also, since it contains several colors, it goes quite well with other oranges, yellows & pink lower rose bushes. He a very happy lad! ~kHAAS

What a performer! I love the vivid color of the new blooms-- but also was surprised that, as the weather is getting hotter, the blooms mature to a nice apricot-- exactly the color of a clump of gerbera nearby. It's a twofer-- both colors are great! I keep an eye on the lower foliage as it is a bit susceptible to blackspot. It's well worth the extra vigilence, love it love it love it!

What a wonderful rose this is! I live in a very humid area and this beauty hasn't had even the first hint of blackspot. The shrub itself is beautiful--fully rounded with beautiful glossy foliage--but its the blooms that are stunning. Though they are not the traditional double blooms that I usually go for, these flowers are very large and so abundant that you can hardly see the foliage. Also, the colors are spectacular. If I was only going to have one shrub rose, I think this would probably be it. It requires no care and has fluorished. The only problem I had was that Japanese beetles loved the flowers. However, they did not bother the foliage at all. I would highly recommend this rose, as everyone who comes to my home oohs and ahs over it.
