The firm of E. W. Stedman Ltd., was founded in the early 80’s by the brothers G. and W. H. Birch who during the early years largely grew indoor roses for market.....
In 1925 the business passed into the ownership of Mr. A. W. Stedman who with his son, Mr. H. W. Stedman - then leaving school and now largely responsible for the shows - have carried on for the past 25 years....
