Hilda Murrell (February 3, 1906 Eaton Cottage, Shrewsbury - ca. March 21-23, 1984 Shrewsbury), British rose breeder, author, environmental and anti-nuclear activist. In 1937 she took over the management of Edwin Murrels / Murrell's Nurseries in Shrewsbury from her father Owen Murrell and her uncle Edwin Foley Murrell. in 1970 she sold the nursery to TV gardener Percy Thrower and Duncan Murphy (1941-2008), who set up the first garden centre in Shropshire.
