Mrs. Shepherd created her nursery in "Ventura by the Sea", offering seeds, plants and roses. She is considered the founder of California's flower seed and cut flower industries. This archive documents her rose offerings in the 1898 and 1913 catalogs, including some of her own creations and discoveries.
