Established 1904 by Victor Teschendorff. He was succeeded in 1947 by his son-in-law Paul ("Fritz") Haenchen. The nursery was nationalized in 1972 as VEG Baumschulen Dresden. Sr. Eckart Haenchen, the son of Fritz Haenchen, was 1972-1990 deputy department head of VEG and responsible for rose breeding. Victor Teschendorff KG was privatized again in 1990 after the unification of Germany. The nursery ceased operations in 2007.
