Shrub Roses
Conrad Ferdinand Meyer. (Müller, 1900.) Very large, well-built flowers of light silvery pink, profusely produced on strong stems from the enormous thorny canes which the plant throws up with the greatest vigor, fully 12 to 15 feet high.
The handsomest Rugosa. Hardy enough to withstand all but the severest winters without protection. A well-grown plant is a miraculous sight when in full flower, but it must have plenty of room in which to grow and display its splendor to best advantage. 75 cts. each.

Rugosas and their hybrids.
Conrad Ferdinand Meyer. Hybrid Rugosa. (Muller, 1900.) (Gloire de Dijon X Duc de Rohan) X R. rugosa germanica. This is about the best Hybrid-Rugosa you have ever known. It is an enormous grower, and a free bloomer. The flowers are large, double, cup-shaped, intense pink, with the penetrating fragrance of the old June Roses.
Book  (1927)  Page(s) [2].  Includes photo(s).

Conrad F. Meyer  Clear silvery pink, large flowers, very double, rich, fragrant.  This popular hybrid produces its flowers in long single stems rather than in clusters.  It is a continuous bloomer throughout the summer and fall.  The flower itself compares favorably with well known but tender garden varieties.  The Conrad Meyer is an extremely thrifty and vigorous grower.  It is especially well suited to a high shrub border or to be grown as a specimen plant.  One of the best known and most popular of the Hybrid Rugosas.
