Bred by Samuel McGredy II (Ireland, 1918).

Bloom:
Rose-red, lemon-yellow shading, golden-yellow reverse, orange undertones, ages to deep pink .  Moderate fragrance.  Average diameter 5".  Very large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Bushy.  Glossy foliage.  
Height of up to 2' (up to 60 cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).

Queen Alexandra wife of King Edward VII, was born on 1 December 1844 in Denmark. She died on 20 November 1921 at Sandringham House.
