Bred by Reimer Kordes (1922-1997) (Germany, 1958).
Introduced in France by Grandes Roseraies du Val de la Loire in 1959 as 'Chantré'.
Introduced by Unknown (Australia) in 1960 as 'Chantré'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Orange and golden-yellow.  Broad petals. Opens quickly..  Moderate, apricot or peach fragrance.  20 to 25 petals.  Average diameter 5".  Very large, double (17-25 petals), high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Large, pointed buds.  
Habit:
Medium, armed with thorns / prickles, bushy, upright.  Large, dark green, leathery foliage.  

Height: 35" to 4' (90 to 120cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Disease susceptibility: susceptible to disease, susceptible to Mildew.
