p45 Alister Clark. A Rose Hunter’s Review: ….getting a chance. This is entirely due to the expense and trouble that Messrs. Hazlewood took to get our Roses to America. I feel sure a good many more of our Australian Roses deserve the same chance, such as ….. and 'A. G. Furness'.

p52. W. G. Randell, ‘Geum’ of the ‘Western Mail’: …..the plants duly arrive and were soon….[planted]. My selection embraced …. and 'A. G. Furness'.

p56 “ 'A. G. Furness' has given me many nice blooms, but I await autumn weather before writing fully regarding this dark red Rose. So far it is a good bushy Rose, fairly free with bloom and nice foliage.

p84 Mr. S. J. Bisdee, Bagdad, Tasmania: Tasmanian Roses: 'A. G. Furness'. Given a better position, I think this would be very good. A very healthy plant and good clean crimson blooms. It has not grown as it should.

p82 Mr. S. J. Bisdee, Bagdad, Tasmania. Tasmanian Roses: 'A. G. Furness'. Looks very promising with nice clean foliage and a good firm bloom, cerise red early, but much more vivid and attractive later.

p86 Mr. T. G. Stewart, Box Hill, Vic: Outstanding Varieties: Two other Australian varieties to which I would like to direct attention are 'Mary Russell' and 'A. G. Furness'. I don’t think I have discussed either of these varieties previously, but they are worthy of mention. Both are reds, although of different shades of colour. They are vigorous growers, but 'A. G. Furness' is the stronger. They are excellent garden or decorative varieties.
