...At a later date the same grower [Mr. Veit] exhibited a bunch of Mrs. Foley Hobbs, perhaps the last rose one would imagine for bunch work, but they were so delicate in colouring and the petals so daintily frilled they really commanded attention.

All the Roses sent to the Show as decoratives from "Glenara" are unwired, and so are not so easily arranged effectively as most of the other Roses in the Show; but as wiring is allowed, unfortunately, weak stemmed Roses are held up unnaturally, as in the case of Mrs. Foley Hobbs, Mrs. George Geary, Crimson Glory, Mrs. Henry Bowles, Mrs. E. G. M. Gibson, and others.

Unless particularly well grown, the blooms are too heavy for the stem. Cannot recommend for garden purposes though it lasts well in water when it is fit to pick.
