Book (1978) Page(s) 144. Golden Showers' Climber Yellow Remontant P3 H3 *** A bushy kind of climber, but one which is in flower for a long time. The flowers are bright yellow, and open loosely; they can be attractive when wide open, with the dark stamens to be seen inside. A plant that is all gloss and smartness, from its bright leaves and yellow blooms. It does not usually grow very large. Raised by Dr W. E. Lammerts from 'Charlotte Armstrong' x 'Captain Thomas', and introduced by Germain' s of Los Angeles in 1956. The Royal National Rose Society warns that it may need protection against blackspot, but in my experience it is not unduly prone to that disease.
