Damask, and Gallica or French Roses
A hundred years ago, these types were the most highly prized of all Roses. Their hardiness and fragrance have been handed down to the modern Hybrid Perpetuals and Hybrid Teas, but they are still most attractive in their genuine old-fashioned way.
