Lady Huntingfield Large flowered. The roses from Australian hybridist Alister Clark are suddenly right back in fashion, along with anything else of the romantic, old-fashioned persuasion. There is nothing old-fashioned about this one, however. Its blends of apricot and yellow are right up to date, though it was introduced back in 1937. It is a sturdy plant and the flowers are large, shapely and deliciously fragrant against dark green, glossy foliage. In Australia, Victorian and South Australian nurseries carry it – and perhaps it will soon be admired elsewhere in the world.
