Bred by Joseph Pernet-Ducher (France, before 1929).
Introduced in France by Roseraies Gaujard in 1935 as 'Georges Chesnel'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1937 as 'Georges Chesnel'.
Class:
Pernetiana.  
Bloom:
Golden-yellow, copper veining, orange undertones.  Medium, double (17-25 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long, pointed buds.  
Habit:
Upright, well-branched.  Glossy, bronze-green foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  
Ploidy:
Tetraploid
Notes:
Said to be similar to 'Mme Nicolas Aussel' - see References
