Dark red Hybrid Tea.
Registration name: Courage (hybrid tea, McGredy, 1923)
Origin:
Bred by Samuel McGredy II (United Kingdom, before 1923).
Introduced in France by Grandes Roseraies du Val de la Loire in 1923 as 'Courage'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1924 as 'Courage'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Crimson, dark brown shading.  Strong fragrance.  Very large, very double, borne mostly solitary, cluster-flowered, in small clusters, high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long, pointed buds.  
Habit:
Short, bushy.  Large, medium green, dense, leathery foliage.  

Height: up to 18" (up to 45cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for beds and borders, cut flower or exhibition.  Hardy.
