Origin:
Bred by Reimer Kordes (1922-1997) (Germany, 1978).
Introduced in Italy by Rose Barni in 1980 as 'Grande Walzer'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Orange-red, deep yellow reverse.  Mild fragrance.  up to 35 petals.  Very double, borne mostly solitary bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Ovoid buds.  
Habit:
Upright.  Small, glossy, light green foliage.  

Height: 31" to 39" (80 to 100cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.

Rose Barni says this rose is brilliant vermilion-red with a deep yellow reverse. This rose marks an important step in the evolution of bicolored roses and is worth a place of respect in the garden.
