p.302) Rosa Rugosa is attractive in Autumn, with its tomato-like fruits; but a better Summer effect can be had by using Wichuraiana hybrids on a rough rail fence. For this purpose there is nothing more lovely than the shell-pink Dorothy Dennison. If a stronger colour is preferred, try Excelsa.

Wichuraiana and its Hybrids.
The varieties comprising this class are of unique and charming beauty, and form lovely objects in the garden while in bloom. They are suitable for rockery, sloping banks, pillars, pergolas, arches, &c. They are very lovely grown as standards.
Weeping Standards, 4 to 5 feet, 5/- each; 5 to 6 feet, 7/6 to 10/6 each; 6 feet and over, 10/6 to 15/- each.
Dorothy Dennison... Dennison, 1909, very vigorous. Shell-pink, the base of petals being creamy-white- a very beautiful combination. The flowers are produced in the same profusion and in fully larger trusses than in "Dorothy Perkins", from which it is a sport; superb.
