Bred by Gerrit Pieter Ilsink (Netherlands, before 1983).
Introduced in Netherlands by Interplant BV in 1984 as 'Rosy Carpet'.
Class:
Shrub.  
Bloom:
Deep pink to geranium-red, lighter center, yellow stamens.  Moderate fragrance.  5 petals.  Average diameter 2.25".  Medium, single (4-8 petals), in small clusters bloom form.  Occasional repeat later in the season.  
Habit:
Medium, armed with thorns / prickles, spreading.  Medium, dark green foliage.  

Height: 2' to 39" (60 to 100cm).  Width: 20" to 47" (50 to 120cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for garden or ground cover.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.
