Carmine-pink, crimson center.  None / no fragrance.  Medium, full (26-40 petals), cluster-flowered, cupped bloom form.  Medium buds.

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Vigorous.

Notes:
Ernst Gustav Doerell (August 22, 1832 Freiberg - March 18, 1877 Aussig), painter of romantic landscapes of Teplitz, Aussig. His grandson, also Ernst Gustav Doerell (April 23, 1892 Aussig - March 9, 1963 Bad Wiessee), professor is agriculture, is too young to fit.
According to Erich Unmuth, it is questionable whether 'Ernst G. Dörell' in gardens and in commerce is the original Geschwind rose - see References. It is said to be identical to 'Mercedes'.
