Origin:
Bred by Eugène Verdier fils aîne (France, 1875).
Introduced in Australia by George Brunning - St. Kilda Nurseries in 1882 as 'Madame Prosper Laugier'.
Class:
Hybrid Perpetual.  
Bloom:
Pink.  Moderate fragrance.  Very large, double (17-25 petals), semi-globular bloom form.  Occasional repeat later in the season.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Vigorous.
