Introduced in France by Jean-Marie Gaujard in 1927 as 'Souvenir de Georges Pernet, Cl.'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1929 as 'Souvenir de Georges Pernet, Cl.'.

Hybrid Tea, Cl., Pernetiana, Cl..  
Bloom:
Red, orange-red edges, yellow shading.  Strong fragrance.  Very large, double (17-25 petals), globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, climbing.  

Height: up to 10' (up to 305cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
