Bred by D.A. Fankhauser (Australia, before 1969).

Damask.  
Bloom:
Light pink.  Damask fragrance.  Very full (41+ petals), cupped bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
Glossy, light green, leathery foliage.  

Height: 6' to 8' (185 to 245cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Flowers drop off cleanly.  Disease susceptibility: disease resistant.  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Alexandre Dumas was born on 24 July 1802 in Villers-CotterĂȘts 40 km NE of Paris. His
birth certificate names him Dumas Davy de la Pailleterie. Dumas wrote hundreds of plays, novels and travel diaries. He wrote several children's stories, and a culinary dictionary. He started several magazines and wrote in them weekly. He was one of the most prolific writers ever, and did not shy away from collaborating with others or rewriting older stories. After many years of writing, traveling, and carousing, after he had made and lost several fortunes, Dumas
died in Puys, near Dieppe, on 5 December 1870.
