Bred by André Gamon (France, 1893).
Introduced in Australia by Hawter’s Nurseries in 1909 as 'Étoile de Mai'.

Bloom:
Light yellow, ages to cream .  Strong fragrance.  Small, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Short, bushy.  Dense foliage.
