Origin:
Bred by Unknown (before 1834).
Introduced in Australia by Tasmania Botanical Gardens in 1862 as 'Belle Clementine'.
Class:
Alba, Hybrid Gallica.  
Bloom:
Light or deep rose pink, often with blush-pink flecks.  Medium to large, very double, cupped, expanded , scalloped bloom form.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for garden or pillar.  Vigorous.  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
In 1837, Rivers calls this an old variety. Possibly, Vibert's 'Clémentine', re-named and reclassified? It was also sometimes mottled pink.
