Mr. D. Fankhauser has also raised many new cultivars. Some of his creations are available to the public for the first time this year. These include Betano Beach, a Hybrid Tea of deep coral pink coloring and Elizabeth Fankhauser, another Hybrid Tea of soft pink deepening towards the edges.

Elizabeth Fankhauser. HT. (D. A. Fankhauser ’65 ‘Ma Perkins’ x ‘Burnaby’. Large long-pointed bud. Pure porcelain pink, finely edged deep crimson, high-centered, very double blooms borne singly and several together on long, strong stems. Very good lasting quality; petals drop off cleanly. Slight fragrance. Abundant, dark green leathery, glossy foliage. Reddish brown, disease-resistant foliage. Medium height, compact habit. Free, continuous bloomer.
