Origin:
Bred by George C. Sherwood (New Zealand, before 1973).
Introduced in New Zealand by Frank Mason & Sons Ltd. in 1975 as 'Avril Sherwood'.
Class:
Floribunda.  
Bloom:
Yellow.  Golden yellow, tinged orange, fading to buttercup-yellow.  Mild fragrance.  15 to 20 petals.  Average diameter 3.5".  Large, semi-double to double bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Ovoid buds.  
Habit:
Upright.  Glossy, dark green, leathery foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
