Bred by William Paul (1822-1905) (United Kingdom, 1883).
Introduced in Australia by C. F. Newman and Sons - Adelaide in 1894 as 'Ella Gordon'.

Bloom:
Cherry-red.  Large, double (17-25 petals), globular, rounded bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Large, light green foliage.  
Height of 5' to 6' (150 to 185 cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
