Around approximately the same time came Chr. Weigand - Soden, i.e. a German, with the hybrid wichuraiana Ernst Grandpierre (1900), and since then came some very good varieties from fim, such as the magnificent Anna Rübsamen (1904), whitish pink, very long lasting, and 1906 and 1908 followed his Frau Albert Fischer, Marie Weinbach, Tricolore, carmine and flesh-pink, blooms in a cluster, occasionally also half-red and half-white in a bloom, and lastly, Frau Albert Hochstrasser which is listed as repeat-blooming (light silvery pink, in the colour of Tausendschön). The repeat is however not very good, i.e. not better than many others.

Chr. Weigand, rose gardener in Soden, who some years ago brought the rose Ernst Grandpierre, (Wichuraiana X Perle des jardins), has bred again a number of new and in any case very useful roses of the same class (Wichuraiana) which will be commercialized shortly. The names are the following (the descriptions and pictures will follow in the next issue, as we have given the clichés our colleagues, the "Journal of Roses"):
1. Anna Rübsamen (Hybrid Wichuraiana)
