Bred by Dr. Keith W. Zary (United States, before 1993).
Introduced in United States by Bear Creek Gardens, Inc. as 'Fortune Teller'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Purple - red.  Strong fragrance.  25 to 30 petals.  Average diameter 4.25".  Large, very double, borne mostly solitary bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Pointed, ovoid buds.  
Habit:
Glossy, grey-green, leathery foliage.  5 to 7 leaflets.  

Height: 4'11" to 5¼' (150 to 160cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.  Plant in partial shade for best color.  prefers dry climates.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
