Bloom:
White or white blend. None / no fragrance. 36 petals. Average diameter 5.5". Large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, cupped, high-centered bloom form. Occasional repeat later in the season. Long, pointed buds.
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, climbing, well-branched. Dark green foliage. Height of up to 6' 7" (up to 200 cm). Width of 4' (120 cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 4b and warmer. Very hardy. a good subject for pegging. Blooms tend to ball in wet weather. prefers dry climates. Disease susceptibility: susceptible to Mildew. Prune lightly or not at all.
Notes:
Schneekönigin is the German word for Snow Queen. 'Frau Karl Druschki' is the best known white Hybrid Perpetual, but it is completely lacking in scent. Some authorities consider it to be a Hybrid Tea.
