Origin:
Bred by W. Kordes & Sons (Germany, 1987).
Introduced in South Africa by Ludwig's Roses in 1988 as 'Germiston Gold'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Golden-yellow.  Strong fragrance.  30 to 36 petals.  Large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, cluster-flowered, in small clusters, cupped, scalloped bloom form.  Prolific, blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Medium, well-branched.  Medium, medium green foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.  Can be used for beds and borders, cut flower or garden.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
