Bred by Mrs. H.C. Fitzhardinge (1881-1956) (Australia, 1939).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1939 as 'Lady Edgeworth David'.

Class:

Hybrid Tea.

Bloom:

Pink, light pink shading. Malmaison rose, shaded with dawn pink. Long stem.. Moderate fragrance. Large, very full (41+ petals), open bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Large, long, pointed buds.

Habit:

Upright. Glossy foliage.

Height: 3' to 4' (90 to 120cm). Width: up to 2' (up to 60cm).

Growing:

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Can be used for cut flower or garden. Vigorous. Protect tender new spring growth from hard freezes that may cause canker, die-back and death of the plant. . Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that. Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood..
