I am a big fan of roses that exhibit fine fragrance and disease resistance as well as decorative qualities beyond petal alone. Henry Hudson encompasses all of these qualities in a compact plant that repeats throughout the season. The spring show is quite amazing, especially as the shrub is loaded with plump, handsome buds that are pink before opening to a fleshy white. We have H.H. planted right next to Harison's Yellow and together with other Rugosas, this is quite the show!

Northwestern Ontario, Canada USDA Zone 2 I have had this rose for 7 years. Totally disease free, winter hardy with no protection, constant bloomer if deadheaded regularly. Tolerated total neglect without slowing the bush down. My rose sends out runners underground which can be cut and transferred to a new location to create a new plant. The plant was four years old when it started to produce runners.
