San Francisco, California May, 2020 Two canes of the dozen or so this plant has thrown out. Some canes grow 25' to 30' in a season, then throw out shorter blooming canes the next season. Growing the canes horizontally, pegging them, or allowing them to drape and hang down off a wall, fence or arbor, increases the number of bloom. I really like this rose. My single own root plant will cover the top of a 25' fence.

San Francisco, California May 2020 This image shows the color change as the blooms age. I had a spot of mildew on some buds, but my garden gets lots of fog and mist nightly. In a warmer, dryer environment, that may not be an issue.

San Francisco, California May 2020 Bud, freshly opened bloom, and an older bloom. No fragrance that I can detect. I think this is a remarkable rose. It gets to be a giant. Perfect for an arbor or pergola. Mine has thrown canes 25' into a neighbor's ligustrum.
