Origin:
Discovered by Francis Dubreuil (France, before 1908).
Introduced in France by Francis Dubreuil in 1908 as 'Lyon Rambler'.
Introduced in Australia by Brundrett's The Rose People in 1913 as 'Lyon Rambler'.
Class:
Hybrid Multiflora, Rambler.  
Bloom:
Rose-pink, ages to carmine-pink .  Strong fragrance.  Medium, semi-double (9-16 petals), in large clusters, cupped, semi-globular bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, climbing.  Wavy or ruffled foliage.  

Height: up to 8'2" (up to 250cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.

Notes:
Different opinions on whether sport or seedling of 'Crimson Rambler'.
