Alister Clark. Rose Rambles in New Zealand. When I was at Mr. John Poulsen’s nursery in Christchurch, he told me that my Rose, Madge Taylor, faded with him, yet next mail brought me a letter from Mr. Sharp, in charge of my Roses at “Glenara”, telling me that Madge Taylor was one of the glories of the garden. It does seem, at times, as if the colour of the Australian seedlings is better in their own country,
