Does this rose have any fragrance?

no fragrance at all -- it's basically a florist rose, and any fragrance at all is rare in that group of roses.

Thank you so much for your reply!

Wouldn't it be interesting if this rose was crossed with, say, 'Purple Tiger' or 'Scentimental', or possibly 'Oklahoma'?

Everyone has a different taste in roses. To me, Abracadabra is very disturbing as it is, without crossing it further. I'm glad you didn't suggest crossing it with Simsalabim or Victoriana or Julia's Rose...

As You say Margareth, everyone has a different taste in roses.
I agree with You: I also look the other way as soon as this rose appears on the screen, or it's lookalike "Memphis Music".
However most of the pictures made by it's admirers are excellent of quality and it's a fotogenic rose!!! Full of contrast, but that's too much for me according to my taste. (Most of the striped roses are, except the "Striped Jocelyn") I'll never count this rose to my favourites, but for others it will be priceless!

To smell this rose the temperature must be very hot, at least 90 degrees. It has a butterscotch smell to me and strong at times of intense heat. I have been trying to cross this rose with others but it just does not want to set hips. I did a bunch of crosses this year with hybrid teas like oklahoma, olympiad, lasting love, mister lincoln, black magic and black bacarra with many stripes like scentimental, rock and roll, roller coaster, 4th of july and george burns. Later next year when they germinate I will put some photos up if I get anything interesting. You can see some of my crosses from previous years on my page. Here are some of the names. Always Remember, Twinkle Little Star, My First Love, Morning Snowfall.

I need help to find the rose bush, "Abracadabra", by Kordes. Moore Roses, listed as a seller is out of business. Any suggestion would be so helpful.
