To smell this rose the temperature must be very hot, at least 90 degrees. It has a butterscotch smell to me and strong at times of intense heat. I have been trying to cross this rose with others but it just does not want to set hips. I did a bunch of crosses this year with hybrid teas like oklahoma, olympiad, lasting love, mister lincoln, black magic and black bacarra with many stripes like scentimental, rock and roll, roller coaster, 4th of july and george burns.
