I believe this rose and Memphis Music are actually the same rose that has somehow been given two names, and which has now been claimed by two breeders. I grow them side by side and they are identical in growth habit, bloom cycle and bloom size. And they even have the same sports (Top Contender is Frisco, Memphis Magic is Black Beauty). Abracadabra should have been classed as a mini-flora to begin with . It is not big enough to be a hybrid tea, even under perfect growing conditions.

If anyone growing this plant has seen an Abracadabra bloom bigger than about 2 and a half inches across under garden (not greenhouse) conditions, let us know. Or better yet, photograph it and put it here with something that shows how big it is in the photo.

In any event, anyone who wants "Abracadabra" should just go to the Two Sisters Roses website and purchase Memphis Music. Same rose.

Yes, my Abracadabra bushes have roses 3 to four 4 inches wide and the older container plants are at 5 feet tall. (Quite Large) They are not mini at all. The only time they make small roses in in heat above 90, in a cool greenhouse the get very large. These are in 20 gallon containers and placed in a greenhouse over winter. Even a cutting I started this May is already over 2 feet tall. So, they do get bigger, hope this helps?

In my garden they are not the same at all. The only things that are the same is the color and some of the similar sports. The patterns on Memphis Music and Abracadabra are not the same. Memphis Music has broad areas and broader stripes whereas Abracadabra has stripes. Memphis Music can be half one color and half the other color but I have never seen that pattern on any of my Abracadabras. The leaves are even different. I have Hocus Pocus also and it will have branches that look like Abracadabra, Black Beauty, and Simsalabim and Frisco.
