Bred by Dr. Griffith J. Buck (United States, before 1992).
Introduced in United States by Heirloom Roses, Inc. (USA) in 2001 as 'Griff's Red'.

Bloom:
Ruby-red.  Moderate fragrance.  Large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Medium, upright.  Medium, semi-glossy, medium green foliage.  

Height: 20" to 41" (50 to 105cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for beds and borders, container rose, cut flower or garden.  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
John's Garden reports that Dr. Griffith Buck's daughter, Mary, is planning to introduce several of her father's unreleased roses in the Spring of 2000: 'Prairie Rhapsody', 'Prairie Gold', and 'Prairie Symphony'. There will also be a "Yellow Carefree Beauty" and a "Red Carefree Beauty".
