Spirit of Freedom, bare root from David Austin, very vigorous, disease free, in zone 6B. It has been covered in blooms all summer. This is its first year.
...

Second year, stronger necks, buds open well. The blossoms last a long time. Tall, 5 feet so far. Mine has only light scent, certainly not strong.

Overall a very nice rose. Good fragrance most of the time, good vigor and disease resistance. It does bloom more than any other rose I have. Blooms are large and have a nice form. Even with 200 petals, I have never had a bloom ball or be destroyed early by rain in Arkansas.

Spirit of Freedom is a nice rose with good fragrance, but there actually is such a thing as too many petals.  In my climate we get a lot of rain & fog and the blooms ball a lot.
