HelpMeFind's future is in your hands - Please do not take this unique resource for granted.

Your support of HelpMeFind is urgently needed. HelpMeFind, like all websites, needs funding to survive. We have set a premium-membership yearly subscription amount as low as possible to make user-community funding viable.

We are grateful to the many members who have signed up so far, but the number of premium-membership members remains too small for us to sustain the current support and development level. If you value HelpMeFind and want to see it continue we need your support too.

Yearly membership is only $2.00 per month and adds a host of additional features, and numerous planned enhancements, to take full advantage of the power and convenience of HelpMeFind. Click here to start your premium membership..

We of course also welcome donations of any amount. Click here to make a donation. Donations of $24 or more receive a thank-you gift of a 1-year premium membership.

As far as we have come, we feel HelpMeFind is still in its infancy. With your support we have so much more to accomplish.

ARS:
Pink blend Shrub.
Origin:
Bred by Paul Barden (United States).
Class:
Shrub.
Bloom:
Pink blend, white reverse.  Strong, cinnamon, musk fragrance.  8 to 12 petals.  Average diameter 2.5".  Small to medium, cluster-flowered, cupped-to-flat bloom form.  Continuous (perpetual) bloom throughout the season.
Habit:
Bushy, well-branched.  Medium, matte, dark green foliage.

Height: 4' (120cm).  Width: 5" (13cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Very vigorous.  flowers drop off cleanly.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant, very mildew resistant.  Prune dead wood.  Prune lightly or not at all.
Breeder's notes:
This is a strange seedling that combines a dark purple-crimson Harkness shrub, a butter yellow Miniature (a 'Golden Glow' seedling) and the species R. californica. It has bluish green matte foliage that does not mildew at all, a very well-articulated branching habit and clusters of buds that smell like Pine when handled! The open blooms have the same peculiar Cinnamon fragrance that the seed parent has, the petals are pink on top and white on the reverse. This rose is being used in breeding and is unlikely to be released commercially.

February 2012: This selection failed in testing because of its poor disease resistance. It has been discarded for that reason.
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
This rose was culled by the breeder. See COMMENTS
