Breeder's notes:
Star Magic is a Ralph Moore Bracteata hybrid. It was totally bullet proof in my old mid desert garden. I attempted to use it for breeding so many times, with nothing to show for it. When its pollen worked on my old stand-by, Orangeade, I was thrilled. Unfortunately, it germinated just prior to the demise of the old garden. I never got to grow it in the ground to see what it would do. It impressed me because it is totally prickle free and bloomed continuously. I supplied cuttings to Ashdown Roses and they shared it with their Dutch connection. Unfortunately, I never got pieces of it back from Ashdown prior to their demise.

I've received glowing comments and reports from both Ashdown and Bierkreek and hoped to be able to get it back to test it. To my surprise, Cliff Orent imported it from Bierkreek without knowing it was my seedling! I was fortunate to be able to see it at EuroDesert and photograph it there on a hundred degree day.
