Golden Fairy Tale ™
Yellow, red edges. [Lemon-yellow.] Medium yellow partly edged red. Mild to strong fragrance. up to 40 petals. Average diameter 4.5". Large, double (17-25 petals), full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, cluster-flowered, in small clusters, cupped, old-fashioned bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Long, pointed, ovoid buds.
Medium, bushy, upright, well-branched. Medium, glossy, dark green, leathery foliage.
Height of 35" to 47" (90 to 120 cm). Width of 2' to 28" (60 to 70 cm).
USDA zone 5b and warmer. Can be used for cut flower, exhibition or garden. Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant, very blackspot resistant., mildew resistant. Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
